Sharing the beauty in life...
My Magnificent Magnetic Board!
Some people will think this is silly- but when I'm trying to figure out what paintings to take where it really helps me to have a hands on method of playing around with my options. We have an old metal graph board and it occurred to me that I could put a bunch of paintings right next to each other in a word document (small in size so as to fit a lot on one page and save ink), print them off on card stock,

cut them out, then glue them to magnets.

Then I typed the names of the galleries I'm in and did the same.

Voila! Now I could organize the paintings by what gallery they're in and figure out where to take what in my next deliveries because when I look at the image I can remember how it's framed etc and whether or not those particular paintings would work together well on a wall. I like being able to just slide them around with my fingers like checkers on a checkerboard to try out different combinations. This is not a replacement for accurate records and consignment paperwork-just a thinking tool.

If you're like me and enjoy a hands on approach when working out solutions you might try this idea - adapting it to whatever materials/resources you have on hand or can find at office supply stores.
Now I also use Artwork Archive which is a great help figuring out what's been where already and printing out consignment sheets etc. Artwork Archive is always improving the software and adding more helpful organizational and business tools. I highly recommend it if you're a working artist and have your art in galleries or just want to have a thorough but easy way to archive your work and keep track of what shows it has been in etc. They do have a free trial so you can see if you like how it works.
