Sharing the beauty in life...

Last Friday, July 7 2017, was the night of the reception for my featured artist show at Cabell Gallery in Lexington VA. It was a wonderful night! Some of my collectors came from quite a distance and local collectors who were already fans of the gallery came by in a steady stream and we had some great conversations about art- it was the best time I've ever had at an art reception. Several of my family members were there which made it extra special but most of all - I was able to finally share this art I've been working on for so long and it touched the hearts of people. That makes it all worth it! Some people felt such a connection they took something home - so although I'll miss those paintings - it means a lot to know they'll be a joy every day in someone's life.

So I want to say thank you. Thanks to the gallery staff who did such a great job promoting the show, hanging the work and keeping track of everything as pieces were "flying out the door". Thanks to my husband who helped me for the last month to get everything framed and then transported. Thanks to the rest of my family for understanding when I couldn't do everything I normally do. Thanks to my mom, dad, teachers and art friends who encouraged me down through the years. Last of all I'd like to thank my collectors who encourage me, like and share my facebook posts, read my newsletters and value my work through their purchases.

I couldn't do this without all of you and I appreciate what you've done.
